EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN DISCUSSION ON 07.07.2018

navsamaj welfare society is working on   WOMEN EMPOWERMENT  last 12 years at rajokari pahari, vasant kunj , new delhi

Women Empowerment: Winds of Change

Women empowerment has become the buzzword today with women working alongside men in all spheres. They profess an independent outlook, whether they are living inside their home or working outside. They are increasingly gaining control over their lives and taking their own decisions with regard to their education, career, profession and lifestyle.

With steady increase in the number of working women, they have gained financial independence, which has given them confidence to lead their own lives and build their own identity. They are successfully taking up diverse professions to prove that they are second to none in any respect.

But while doing so, women also take care to strike a balance between their commitment to their profession as well as their home and family. They are playing multiple roles of a mother, daughter, sister, wife and a working professional with remarkable harmony and ease.   With equal opportunities to work, they are functioning with a spirit of team work to render all possible co-operation to their male counterparts in meeting the deadlines and targets set in their respective professions.

Women empowerment is not limited to urban, working women but women in even remote towns and villages are now increasingly making their voices heard loud and clear in society. They are no longer willing to play a second fiddle to their male counterparts. Educated or not, they are asserting their social and political rights and making their presence felt, regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds.

While it is true that women, by and large, do not face discrimination in society today, unfortunately, many of them face exploitation and harassment which can be of diverse types: emotional, physical, mental and sexual. They are often subjected to rape, abuse and other forms of physical and intellectual violence.

Women empowerment, in the truest sense, will be achieved only when there is attitudinal change in society with regard to womenfolk, treating them with proper respect, dignity, fairness and equality. The rural areas of the country are, by and large, steeped in a feudal and medieval outlook, refusing to grant women equal say in the matters of their education, marriage, dress-code, profession and social interactions.

FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION CAMP AT RAJOKARI PAHARI NEW DELHI

FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION CAMP AT RAJOKARI PAHARI ON 24.02.2018

The Underprivileged children of India need our help as living under above mentioned circumstances, the children got exposed to the harsher realities of life. Underprivileged children lose their right to emotional, physical and social development and are more likely to have depression, low self esteem, lack of sleep and nutrition etc. Poverty is undoubtedly one of the major causes of this plight. Lack of  education being the second culprit. At present, around 30 percent of our population is residing below poverty line, i.e. these people are unable to meet their basic necessities. Before heading forward, we need to understand the types of poverty. There are two types of poverty viz. the absolute poverty and the relative poverty. The former includes people who are financially poor and unable to meet their basic needs of food and shelter, while the later means the difference in the income of individuals. In India, whenever we talk about poverty, we mean absolute poverty.

Now Navsamaj Welfare Society is started to free food camp at  Rajokari Pahari ,New Delhi. We are distributed free food among the underprivileged children. And trying to help the poor children inside of Rajokari Pahari, Rangpuri Pahari,Kusum Pahari and Mahipalpur  Rural area.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION ON 11.09.2017

FOOD DISTRINUTION AMONG THE UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN 11.09.2017

We felt privileged and glad to make a small contribution to the selfless effort “Navsamaj Welfare Society (NGO) ”  is making to guide and help children and women of underprivileged section of society. On our special day that is  Anjali’s  birthday, seeing those children enjoying a meal arranged by “Navsamaj Welfare Society  (NGO)” is a feeling different and beyond the fun and happiness of a regular birthday party.

This “Navsamaj Welfare Society  (NGO)” is conducting classes for pre-primary levels for children of laborers and daily wagers. It also prepares and helps them for admission in nearby schools for continuing their education while growing up. There’s a center to teach cutting & tailoring to women in surrounding colonies and help them to earn a little. Meals though occasional are a small way to motivate children to study regularly, learn hygienic practices and using time productively.

Kudos to the tireless work “Navsamaj Welfare Society  (NGO)” is doing to the underpoverty line  society!
