| A school uniform is a prerequisite for public school attendance in our Shiksha Kendra. Many families are simply unable to afford the cost of a uniform or woolens. Children are kept from attending school because their parents or guardian cannot afford a uniform or stationery. We identify these children within the community. We want to be pro-active in identifying these children and their families to avoid the danger of these children becoming involved in drug abuse, child labour, sexual abuse and crime. |
